Happy Thursday everyone! My
I'm A Big Shot Challenge #2 this week is all about embossing.
Challenge #2: Ink your Texturz plate and then emboss!!! Use your inked embossing on your project. There are many ways you could try to actually get the ink on the Texturz plate, but I used a brayer -roll the brayer over your ink pad until it picks up some ink and then roll the brayer over the Texturz plate! (Tutorial to come!)
If you have never tried the Texturz Plates, you don't know what you are missing out on. These are the coolest embossing tools! They are double sided so you get two different patterns on one plate AND they are HUGE, more than large enough to cover an entire standard greeting card. You could even make a larger card with these! Sizzix makes them and Stampin' UP carries exclusive lines of these lovely plates.
Here's my sample project for this week:

I used a Texturz plate from the Stampin' UP Backgrounds I set.
- The stamped tag was designed for a masking class I taught. I made this one during my class demonstration and then didn't have anything to use it on, so I decided to use it as the center piece for my card. The skater stamp is from the Stampin' UP Winter Post stamp set and the trees are from the Stampin' UP Lovely as a Tree stamp set. The sentiment is from the Grateful Greetings stamp set.
- I made the tag itself out of Whisper White cardstock and I used the Stampin' UP corner rounder punch and horizontal slot punch on the paper to make it look like a tag.
- The ribbon is 1/4inch Old Olive grosgrain ribbon.
- I will post the tutorial on how to make this awesome background in a bit :O)
I can't wait to see your creation!! Add a direct link to your project into Mr. Linky below before
