3 Birds on Parade -Day 1

Hey everyone!!

Today, I am starting a mini segment on my blog. I have had so much fun playing with one of my new Cricut Cartridges, 3 Birds on Parade over the weekend, so I wanted to dedicate a few days to the cartridge! I am not sure exactly how many days this segment will last, but we shall see :O)

Here is 3 Birds on Parade: Day 1! The patterned paper I used for this card is part of the Jolly Holidays designer series paper pack from Stampin' UP. I also have a 6X6 paper kit available in my SP store here: 14 Pc 6X6 Paper Kit -NEW Stampin' UP Jolly Holiday DSP

And do you see that title? I made that title off of the Cricut 3 Birds on Parade cartridge using the Mini Gel Pen Holder made by Amy Chomas!! I drew the title outline with the Cricut Expression and then I added the candy cane stripes freehand. LOVE IT!!

AND that flower is the icing on the cake! I created that lovely flower out of the new Stampin' UP Paper Daisies. You can learn what I did through SP University!

This card measures 5.5inches square.

I also used some retired Stampin' UP items on this card: Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Buttons, Apricot Appeal cardstoc, and Brocade Blue cardstock.

Hello everyone!! This month is the LAST Free stamp set of the month that I will be hosting. This is my last month as a Stampin' UP demonstrator. I have some big plans ahead and being a demo is in conflict with those plans so I have to step down.

Hi guys and gals!  We have just moved into major transition mode. Since my mom decided to become a Stampin' UP demonstrator, I have decided that at the end of the month, I will be saying goodbye to my Stampin' UP demonstratorship. It just seems like the right time for me to make the move.

I just wanted to give you a heads up that I am doing a major blog/website/store renovation over the next few weeks.  If you try to click on something and it doesn't work, I will do my best to get it corrected as quickly as possible.  Things will be moving around and so I just want to give you a heads up.

The SP Store is moving to a different .com and I will be closing down the Samiville.com store. The items in the SP Store are still available but they will be unavailable for a short time once I get them moved around.

I will also be working on updating my blog post signature too so if you see random posts popping up, kindly ignore those! LOL

MEET the Newest Stampin' UP Demonstrator!!!

MY MOM, Betty!!!!  YAHOO!  Yep, that is right my mom has taken the plunge, and she will now be your new Stampin' UP demonstrator. As I have mentioned before, I am going to be leaving my demoship before the end of the year and when my mom heard that, she said she would like take my place.  I am so glad because I will now be my mom's best customer! LOL

I am so happy to tell you that you are going to be in absolutely wonderful hands!! We are going to try to make the transition for y'all as easy as possible so I will leave links to my mom's Stampin' UP website here on my blog so you can still order your items easily. And don't worry. . . I am not going anywhere! LOL I will be acting as my mom's "assistant" of sorts so you can still come to me with your Stampin' UP questions if you want to. I don't mind at all.

Since September marks the start of the lovely holiday season (my FAVORITE time of year!!), I decided that I am going to put together some special edition kits for all your card sending needs. iCopic Color Challenge #3

Hey everyone!  I took a really looooong nap this afternoon (6 classes is a lot to handle LOL) so I had a lot of catching up to do before posting to the bloggity. I am so excited for tomorrow though because it is my first real day of my photography class!!!  We are going to go out and start using our cameras in manual mode (never done that before EEK!). I just can't wait for the fun to begin!!!

Anyway the real point of today's post is COLOR. Here is iCopic Color Challenge #3! There is an AWESOME prize again this go around so don't forget to put your Copics to good use and play along by clicking here!

Can you believe that iCopic is giving away a pack of XpressIT cardstock?  In my Copic Certification class, we got a chance to test out this new paper and it is by far one of my favorite Copic papers.  Very soon, I am going to be doing a paper comparison for you because I have been experimenting with different papers.

And here is my lovely project for you:

Isn't that little girl the cutest thing ever?!  It is from the Stampin' UP Greeting Card Kids stamp set (probably one of my all-time faves).  I used the following Copic colors: R27, R29, E51, E50, RV21, Y15, Y21, and Y11.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions, as part of the Love Everywhere stamp set.

The hearts were cut from the Cricut Expression  and the Cricut Cake Basics cartridge at varying sizes. I stamped the hearts with some background stamps from Taylored Expressions, as part of a set called Miniature Motifs.

Cricut Imagine Cartridges -Coming Soon!

Cricut Imagine cartridge previews are here! These are Cricut IMAGINE cartridges so they will only work in the Cricut Imagine machine that comes out Sept 14th. All the other cartridges will work in ALL the machines, but the Cricut Imagine cartridges don't.  That is because the Imagine cartridges have paper patterns and colors programmed into them!!  If you haven't yet heard the buzz about the Cricut Imagine, take a peek at my Imagine demo video by clicking here!
